Artists @ Work - February Exhibition
Each month, Artists @ Work - 51 Lake Street - hosts exhibitions in our window spaces, and plinth spaces throughout the gallery.
Our February Exhibition is showcasing works from Imperfect Woodcrafts, a local wood carver on the exhibition plinth and original artworks by Fred Vredegoor in the display window.
These exhibition spaces are for hire and open to any artist.

2025 Artists of the North
The Artists of the North exhibition is a presentation of the talent and formidable skills of our region’s artists.
2025 Theme: Living Colour
This years’ theme captures the essence of Cairns as a vibrant, tropical city, brimming with life and colour. This theme invites artists to explore the concept of Living Colour in a broad sense, from literal interpretations of vivid tropical hues to metaphorical representations of vitality, diversity, and connection.
This year - due to space limitations - we will be accepting the first 180 entries only. This will be on a first in best dressed approach, with entries closing March 20th, or one the 180 entry limit has been reached.

This exciting event celebrates the talent and creativity of our local artists, providing a fantastic platform to showcase portraiture in its many forms. Artists are encouraged to express their individuality and unique style while capturing the essence of their subjects.
Take part in this vibrant celebration of art and culture, and join fellow artists in sharing your vision with the community. Exhibition Spaces for Hire
Artists @ Work Studio and Gallery are now accepting 2025 exhibition applications for their window and plinth exhibition spaces.
There are three large windows, available on a monthly basis for $200 each, or $550 for three.
There are two large plinths, approximately 1.5x1.5 meters available for $50 each, or $100 for two
All artists and makers are invited to exhibit their work in the windows or on the plinths, including ceramicists, jewellers, sculptors, painters and more.
