Welcome to the vibrant and creative world of Cairns Art Society, nestled in the beautiful and breathtaking Tropical North Queensland.
We wholeheartedly support local artists by providing an array of enriching workshops, engaging exhibitions, and two unique gallery spaces where they can proudly display their remarkable work.
The Cairns Art Society Gallery at DFO is Located (Next to bed, Bath and Table) at the DFO Shopping centre Shop 31, 274 Mulgrave Road, westcourt. This thriving gallery is a traditional exhibition space for all C.A.S members.
The lively Artists at Work located at 51 Lake Street stands as a community-driven gallery where artists come together to collaborate, showcase their creativity, and offer inspiring classes.
Additionally, Cairns Art Society hosts two exciting exhibitions annually in partnership with the renowned Cairns Art Gallery and the dynamic Tanks Arts Centre, fostering a thriving artistic community.

What an amazing turn out
Thank you to the art community for your brilliant entries in this year’s ARTchies Portrait Prize, and for coming along to support and celebrate the artists and prize winners at the Awards Presentation and Opening Night held on Friday 31 October at the Artists@Work Studio and Gallery, 51 Lake Street.
Congratulations to all the award winners and a sincere thank you to our fantastic prize sponsors Status Plus, Officeworks, Cairns Framing Studio, Oxlades, The Source Bulk Foods and The Conservatory Bar.
A special mention to the wonderful Jamie Cole for judging this year’s entries, and the incredibly talented musician @marc_apella for his amazing performance during the opening night.
